It's closed on Wednesdays, but the door to the cafe was open. So we're slowly getting in. As a greeting we were greeted by a thunderous: "We are closed on Wednesdays, can't you read?" It would be better: Hello, we are unfortunately closed today. We are sorry. A change of operator would be announced. This drives away the last of the tourists. Very kind, thank you.

I too can only agree with the negative reviews. Great thirst. The entrance door is wide open, behind the counter there is an employee. After a short wait, I get a reproachful, unfriendly, eye-free "We have closed". My polite and apologetic note that this was not recognizable to me was answered with "The lighting is also off". I only wanted 2 drinks. Then it's not possible.

Unfortunately, I can not recommend these taverns at all. Everything started with a supercooled announcement from the older "Schankwirtin" at about 15:15 "food is no longer hmm at this time". Without hesitation, we still ordered our drinks (latte macciato, latte, cocoa). Since my children were hungry, we took the bee sting present in the display and a piece of cake. The younger service helped me with the drinks, because unfortunately there was no tray. After putting us one step down in the sitting area and sitting at the table, we were able to devote ourselves to all the expensive things we had bought. Proud good 40 € I have paid for everything. The latte was the lesser evil of all. Closely followed by the latte the smell of something already digested what you would rather not see again. All drinks were sugared and diluted with water. The cake looked only optically good that was it also about the taste experience I would not like to report. The device itself is beautiful (only in some places gnaws the time or the tooth of many uses). There is also the one star. In short, unfriendly, unpalatable, overpriced. Even with the greatest thirst and hunger I would drag myself next time.

Can I join the reviews only. Not recommended. Dogs absolutely not welcome. Food not worth mentioning, you should rather visit the local in town.

Unfortunately, the food was the worst, that I got served before during a trip in the region. Too bad, the castle is really worth seeing.

The Hungertower lives up to its name, no food is provided Sunday 14.00 ?! The castle top as a destination, food is to bring along.
